OK. I bit... er, bought! I got the Kindle edition. It is the most expensive book I have bought for the Kindle but I am sure it will be worth every cent. I do have two questions and I apologize if this one has been asked and answered.... but: 1 > does it stand alone or do I need to use X1 Power with it? 2 > Have you considered making your books in a folder or notebook format. I mean like a three ring binder sort of book.
Hey Julien... thanks very much! I hope you enjoy the book. The book stands alone... you don't need any other edition. Each edition is independent. It has to be this way because there are always new people picking up Cakewalk and not just upgraders. And yeah, the notebook format idea has been brought up in the past, but it's not a feasible format because of cost and for the purposes of marketing. If you walk into a bookstore, I doubt you'll find any books in that format. It's definitely a nice idea, but it can't be done. Regarding the cost... yeah, both the print and eBook editions contain the same exact content and you're actually paying for the content, not the format. So while the eBook costs a little less, it's not by much.
Thanks again! And, only if you have time, after you get a chance to look through the book, would it be possible for you to post a review up on Amazon and in the Cakewalk Store?
