Hey Julien... unfortunately, in most eBook formats (including the Kindle) the page numbers and index from the print edition don't mean anything. eBooks don't usually follow traditional page numbering. So instead, you need to use the search feature to find what you need. Sorry about that... but the search can actually be easier a lot of the time.

Thanks Scott. I am on my second Kindle, this one is a Paperwhite. I never had occasion to need to use an index or search before this book. I didn't realize I could do it but since it is setting right beside me I just picked it up after reading your post and figured it out. You touch the "magnifying glass" icon and get a search window. I typed in bus and got 59 locations!! Awesome, thanks.
Something that becomes very clear while reading your books is what an incredible piece of sofware Sonar is. I realize that all these functions have been added over a decade or more and refined along the way with new functionality added all the time. There are a few small bugs but considering just how much functionality there is.. it is a really amazing piece of work.

Hey Julien... yeah, in a way, the eBook edition is actually easier to use because of that search feature. You can't do that with a print book. And you're right, SONAR is loaded with features, they're just not sitting there right on the surface. You have to dig a little to find what you need, but that's what the book is for...
 
I'm actually glad to hear more and more people are getting into eBooks because I'm headed in that direction... although, I won't be giving up print just quite yet. Do you buy all your books as eBooks now?

I bought the Kindle version too, my first Kindle type e-book. I really  like having it available on all my computers and instantly picking up where I left off. I'll definitely buy more. I've bought several Sonar Power books over the years and the Kindle is the easiest to use.

Hey Rick... Excellent... thanks very much! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the book. Yeah, having that search feature on the Kindle is nice. It's also cool that you can read the Kindle edition on any device because Amazon makes free reader software for all the different platforms including Mac and PC. So, once you buy the book, you can read it anywhere.
