Hi Scott,

It's almost time fo Sonar X2 Power ! Yes, Amazon has an incredible price...all you other people (not Scott) go order it now if you haven't already.

I hope you aren't offended Scott, but Amazon market place is offering me $10 for Sonar Power X1, so that brings my net cost down to less than $18, for the best Sonar Power book yet! (another reason to get it in paper...you can't resell of have Amazon "buy back" your kindle edition.)

Did you use the Console Emulator on any of your X2 tracks?

For the two most recent ones (Dial-In and Southern M1) yes.  Been tending to switch the CE on but tbh not really doing much with it beyond that.  I started with the SSL emulator as those were the boards I was used to in the day.  For some reason I'm heading towards the Neve now - I really don't know why but maybe my ears hear something in that emulation that they like.  Or its the snappy looking dials!

Just ordered!
Hey Matt... thanks very much! By the way, congrats on the Brazilian Wish CD. I checked out your CD Baby page and the music sounds great. I really like the So Close track.

Did you use SONAR to record the music?

Scott
Thanks so much, Scott!  My CD was recorded in several major studios in the New York area, and I didn't have a role in the audio engineering.  However, I've done a lot with the project since then, such as making play-along (music minus one) tracks, and I do those in SONAR.  Appreciate the kind words.  You are in good company: Russ Davis at XM Radio also liked the same track best.

Hey Bob... no, not offending at all. Thanks very much for ordering the new book!

How are you getting along with SONAR X2 so far?

Thanks!
Scott

Hey Chris... nice. Yeah, the snappy graphics just make you want to play with them.

What's also nice is that quick grouping works with PC controls, so you can select all tracks and quickly switch to a different emulation to see which one fits best with the current tune.

What else is usually in your ProChannel chain?

Hey Matt... very cool. Are you making the play-along tracks to sell as a separate CD?

How were you able to get airplay on XM Radio? Just curious...

I got mine pre-ordered on Thursday and should receive sometime around April 9th.
I had bought Sonar 7 Power and it helped me learn so much. I found myself going back to it again and again.
It still sets on my night stand. So I figured since I had gotten so much from that book that X2 Power should get as much use. So looks like Sonar 7 Power will loose it's place on the night stand, and looking forward to replacing it with X2 Power soon.

Hey Bruce... thanks very much! Yeah, a lot has changed since SONAR 7. If you have the time, I would recommend reading SONAR X2 Power! from cover-to-cover at first and then use it as reference. You'll pick up a lot more of the tips that are included throughout the book that way. Be sure to give the SONAR 7 book a nice burial.

By the way, I checked out some of your tunes over on SoundClick and I really like Floyd Sound N. Nice job! Was that done with SONAR?
