Hey Rick... cool, what made you decide to pick the Mackie as your control surface?

John
I received an Email from Amazon that it will come some time around the 11th or so.

And Scott you asked what I have been doing with Sonar lately. Not much really. I have no pending projects at this time. I have been mostly just playing around with it. Revising old projects and seeing how the new plugins work with them.  I have added a lot of new soft synths and thus I have been seeing how they compare. Later this summer I plan on a documentary that may require some Sonar. But that is only in the preliminary stage now.

When the book arrives I will be looking in it for the great wisdom I know it will be chock full of.

I think this is the edition to get if one is after a Power book for Sonar. I am glad it is done!

I'm in - just ordered via Amazon!!

Any "guesstimate" when a Kindle version might be available?
(the Sonar Power series is an awesome library to keep handy on the iPad!!)

Thanks for continuing your hard work in the series, Scott!!

Hi Scott,

I liked the VS-700C.  It was my first choice; but after reading all the negative comments about Cakewalk not fixing things when X-1 and X-2 came out, I heard enough to end up going with the Mackie.  The Mackie is solid built; the price is right; and has just the right amount of faders I need for the music I'm doing.

Didn't want to drop $2,800 not knowing if the VS-700C will be supported when the next version of Sonar comes out.

Looking forward to receiving your book!  Can't wait.
No word from Amazon yet.  Hope it is the 11th as John has stated.

Hey John... Excellent! Yeah, Amazon is saying the book is now in stock.

Some of the best inspiration comes from taking a break and just exploring the technology, so maybe you'll come up with a hit song while you're just playing around.

What new soft synths did you get? Just curious...

Thanks!
Scott

Hey Randy... thanks very much! I really appreciate it. Normally, the eBook version (Kindle, Nook, etc.) is released about a month after the print edition, so hopefully we'll see it sometime around the end of this month. I'll be keeping everyone informed with book updates via the DigiFreq music recording newsletter...

Hey Rick... yeah, I hear ya. Hopefully, the VS700 will stay compatible for a long time because it's a great surface and I want to keep using it. I've heard good things about the Mackie too, so I hope that works out for you.

Amazon is now showing the book is in stock, so it should be any day now... hurray!

Thanks!
