Hi,

I haven't been able to get my Tranzport to work in Sonar X3c (or 8.5 for that matter) once I went to 64 bit.

If I remember correctly, it worked well under Sonar 7, 32 bit on a Win 7 Pro machine.

Anyone have any luck or should I trash this $200.00 unit?

With the exception of Add Markers, everything seems to be working OK.

Hi Dave,
Thanks. Do you remember which version of the driver you are using for the Transport? I haven't looked in a while, but last time I tried, I don't remember finding a driver for Win 7. I'll look now again after I post this, but I sort of gave up after several months of waiting for them to release a Win 7 driver.
Thanks again and nice studio down there in Florida, just checked out your website.

My Device Manager reports this as driver version 1.5.0.0 from 10/26/2009

Thanks, just downloaded the driver and the Tranzport is working, including making and finding markers, in Sonar X3c running under Win 7 Pro 64 bit.

To continue along the lines of this thread...   I just finished installing SONAR X3c on a newly-built machine running Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit. Everything works great, EXCEPT the TranzPort 1.5.0 driver. At the end of the installation, it indicates "Can not install on this version of Windows."

Everything was working perfectly on my Win7 Pro 64-bit machine. Did I paint myself into a corner by choosing Windows 8.1?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

In certain situations, yeah you probably did. It was the same going from XP to Win 7. I got a nice little pile of hardware sitting here that just would not work with Win 7. That still annoys me that there wasn't a way for it to work. The thing you're up against with Tranzport is...it's discontinued so unless someone literally comes through with a work-around or some sort of modified custom driver, you'll probably never be able to use it on your Win 8 box.

I have a killer little JL Cooper mini desk mixer controller. I was devastated when it wouldn't work in Win 7. I even wrote the company and told them I'd be willing to pay for a custom driver to be made for it...they just replied "no and the guy that wrote the driver doesn't work here anymore."

I'm so tired of updating, new technology and spending money on this stuff only to be let down or working harder trying to resolve issues....that I don't see any huge updates in my near future. While others are tweaking and searching for alternatives, I got a few Win 7, Vista and XP machines that have incredible working hardware and software on them that allow me to get some work done. Seriously...isn't anyone tired of updating all the time? I'm using what I got here until it dies. :)
