Catching up on a few responses -

Phil - that's a tremendous compliment! Much obliged!

Ohgrant - Glad you liked it! Feel free to pick a few nits if you have any . . .

Julian - thanks and I love that sort of observational criticism, I'll reconsider what is going on at those points you mentioned. Thanks for being specific!

Jamesg1213 - Ah, I did get carried away with the panning! Glad you liked it. For some reason, in Sonar I have never really loved how it handles panning, I always hear a -slight- degradation in the audio. I know if you choose to radically pan a file that is already stereo, it's going to maybe introduce some kind of phasing? I just got out of my depth so if anyone can toss me a life preserver of knowledge, many thanks.  :)

Warren - dude thanks, I appreciate it. Four years on this sucker! Although in actual time spent, probably only a month!

SteveC - gotcha, that farfisa I just call "cheese organ" and it does belong in the 60's!

peace out,
-Tom

Olivier,

Boy, I sure appreciate any reference to Dire Straits - they/Mark Knopfler are on my desert island playlist for sure.

Also, thank you so much for recommending I put lyrics up, for the non-native English speakers! That blows my wig off. Translated - I'm honored! and it is done. Next time you get to my site, check out the lyrics page if you wish.

cheers,
-Tom

Hey, Tom,

Very cool song with a fun retro vibe, great songwriting, clever lyrics and excellent performances!

The offbeat panning kind of threw me off a little, but I remember the early Beatles stuff was mostly done like that.  I really like the vocal work and the Iron Butterfly/Vanilla Fudge style guitar solo was "vintage cool".

Your song "Mayans" was also really a blast of goodness, too, and "Here Comes The Square was a dynamite instrumental!

Really nice work, Tom, have a good one, buddy!
Bob

Tom,
This one is a lot of fun and sounds great on my system.  Not sure if there is anything to do other than to call it done and enjoy it.  Nice stuff!
