No I haven't Craig.
The main reason is my time has become more valuable than money to me.
Now before that statement causes an uproar...
The validity of that statement varies to each individual and for many reasons so each determines it's worth.
Another very good reason is that working with wood is an enjoyment that I safeguard.
I don't build guitars or anything else for money. I like having the freedom for intuition. I enjoy having the choice to follow my feelings on whether or not I build something for somebody.
Numerous times I've declined projects- it wasn't easy for me to decline because I felt they really wanted the item but it didn't and won't change anything. It either feels right or not. I don't waste time trying to determine the reasons...one may never know the reasons. It's just how it is and it works. I've enjoyed every project and each project has fulfilled for all...if
all is honest...lol...I know I have been.
Is it written in stone? Of course not. If some dumb-arse made me an offer I couldn't refuse I'd take the money and send them down the road but other than that...I choose when I create and for whom.
Third reason...you deserve my attempt for a good answer so...I figure most any bozo could buy a cutting board and cut out whatever shape they wanted...of course there's "I've been wrong before" LOL.
Not to mention they'd be avoiding all legalities. (I'm not saying the shape of the Tele body, or any other is protected- for those that just read in between the lines)
About the hole...I did ask about that, as well as boarder grooves, she didn't want either. She said that it just makes it harder to clean. Good enough for me.
