I need to look to see if Melodyne is available as a plug. I'm using it with the ARA integration on individual tracks. With no additional steps on my part, X3 found Melodyne Editor on my setup.

That's because while VST3s can be installed in a designated location they are also installed in the system folder
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
or 
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VST3
 
So if Sonar doesn't find a VST3 in your scan path it will, depending on if your system is 32 or 64 bit,  check one of the above system folders.
 
Sidroe - did you check to see if Melodyne.vst3 was in
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Celemony\Melodyne ?

THANKS, THE STEVEN! I finally found that folder in 64 bit, added it, scanned it, HOLY CRAP! It finally shows up on region FX! I love this place. If it wasn't for this kind of help I find here, I'd still be scratching my head. Thanks, everyone for your kindness and your time.

I just checked my scan paths for my 64bit X3 and
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
is there.  I don't recall manually adding it, perhaps the installer put it in.
I thought the X3 VST Scanner automatically scanned that system folder, guess not.
 

I had to manually add the 64 bit folder in the scan before Sonar would see it. The installation seemed to have automatically put it in the 32 bit Sonar but not the 64 version. At any rate, I thank you again for your help. I hope I can repay you someday.

BTW, I did update with no problems to 2.1.2.
