Hi there,

I have just installed X3A - upgrade from X2 and will do C next.  It seems to be working and is stable, but I am having an issue with the Blue Tube Plugins.  When I try and use one I get a dialog that says they are supposed to be used in X3 and that internal processing will be turned off.  I then see them but they do nothing.  I have not been asked to register them

I have found the culprit, but not quite sure why.  It is JBridge.  for the Nomad gear, if I use JBridge it doesn't know it is being launched in X3, if i use BItBridge it i sfine. (I have JBridge for some "Problem Children" - KOrg Keyboard interfaces don't like BitBridge.

So I have them working.  Not sure if it counts as Solved, but may be useful info.

Help appreciated

Did you install as administrator?

Dude Ivey
Try a Reset/Rescan of all your plugins.

Steve, I don't think the blue tube plugs need bit or jBridge. They are fully 64 bit as far as I'm aware. Maybe something screwed with your installation and 32 bit was installed by mistake.

Hi Mudgel,
I noticed that once I unchecked the JBridge they wee no longer in a frame.  Jbridge had also attached itself to the AAS stuff, which then errored out when I closed it.  Was a full 64 bit install so a bit confused.  Once I removed the check from all the of plugins it was fine.   I haven't used X3 much yet, but already it seems much more stable. I had 2 key issues with X1 - X2a.  The first was a crash when I would select a channel in console view on my left monitor while prochannel was open in the inspector on the right monitor.  The 2nd was that if I used step sequencer to whip up a quick drum loop and  had a bass track in the same time frame (loop selected using whole measures on timeline - not clip length), and let it run s I could work out parts, drums and bass would get out of sync.  First one was a killer, 2nd an annoyance.  Both gone in X3c.  Interestingly existing templates don't follow the color settings when you color a buss - new busses / channels will.  (Can live with that :)

Thanks for the response

Cheers

(BTW I just took a look - About Sonar - it is X64, and all the BT stuff is listed in Blue in the browser - no clue why JBridge glommed onto it)
