I have to second that Eli's Explained videos are most excellent! You can't go wrong getting his Explained videos! They cover a lot, and you can learn by sight and sound. Man, Eli is really very good! :)
 
Karl's X3 new features videos are good.
 
And, of course, get Scott's X3 Power! book when it is released.

Not sure why so many companies take such strange approaches to the simple things these days when there are so many more traditional and intuitive methods that could be used. I can only assume it's to avoid patent trolls or some weird need to be "unique". Personally I think it's a pain having to keep so many wildly varying methods in my brain but whatever. If it does what I need then I'll do the work.
 

Yes, I'm just grateful they didn't have the same patent laws to deal with during the rise of the motor-car. Imagine if every car manufacturer had to come up with their own user interface for steering and speed control.
