Hi,

Since I have upgraded to X3 from X2.  Can I install the X2 version on my cousin's PC while still use X3 on my own PC?

Thanks in advance
Jim

Licensing questions are better addressed by customer support. You only have one license for SONAR. You received a discount based on the license you already bought. You are not supposed to sell or give away older copies of the product because they would be unlicensed copies of the product.

"Can" yes. "Should" no.

You don't own the software, you have a license.
Hand over your dollars, upgrade licenses are cheap for a reason ;)

Is it the same as installing my other license to my mother's pc and im the one using it? Is your cousins pc is with you and youre the one using it?

> my other license
If it's an upgrade you still only have one license after the upgrade, not two. What that single license entitles you to do is another matter.

Just to be clear, licenses for Cakewalk software are non-transferable and resale is a violation of the license agreement.  Therefore, you are the sole owner of any licenses purchased for Cakewalk software.  Further, you can only use SONAR on one machine at a time for each license.  A serial number and product registration does not constitute a unique license for each version of SONAR.  The license covers all versions owned by a single individual.  However, an individual can own more than one license and therefore, can run the software simultaneously for each license.

I believe that covers it.

Kind regards,
