  • Sonar Pro demo mode only & not receiving copy of Home Studio

Hi there,
 
the announcement by Cakewalk took me by surprise. I actually wanted to continue payment after xmas to give Sonar to my Son. He's a full grown Hiphop Producer. :)
 
We also have the problem that Sonar Pro launches in Demo mode only, like a few other people here. I've tried to contact the activation support a few times but never received an answer Sonar is still in Demo mode. Strange thing is, all accompanying products, like e.g. the L-Phase Plugins or Addictive Drums are fully activated and work.
 
As it didn't work out yet I bought a copy of CM-Magazine 250 - it said it would contain a copy of Sonar Home Studio, offer valid till February 18. When I tried to activate it, the website at Cakewalk said "offer expired".
 
I also emailed the activation code of Home Studio to Cakewalk, but again I didn't receive an answer yet nor was Home Studio added to my CCC-Account.
 
So if anyone in charge is reading this, I hope you can help. I don't know what else to do.

I can't verify if the magazine offer still works but will say it worked for me.  I found the magazine directions confusing so what I'll describe is what I discovered and what worked for me.
 
First, if you have a Cakewalk store account, have purchased Cakewalk products in the past and have Command Center on your computer you do not need to create a FileSilo account as you are directed to do on page 5 of the magazine.  FileSilo has the Cakewalk Command Center executable file available for download so if you have it already, no need to download again.  There ARE some non Cakewalk related files available that you may want but they are not needed for Cakewalk Home Studio.
 
Second, sign into your "My Account Home" Cakewalk page.
 
Second, go to magazine page 65 and follow steps 1 and 2.  Notice you need to have logged into your account PRIOR to entering the redemption code.  Manually enter the redemption code, do not cut and paste.

I can try again but even by typing it did not work at all. Always says that the offer expired. I am both in contact with the Cakewalk Facebook page and Support but I did not have received responses from support from the 30th
 
EDIT: I actually managed to activate both Sonar Home Studio and Rapture Session by entering the serial in the form (typed manually).

As I noted in another thread already, the activation of Home Studio worked now. I just tried again a few days later, same way as before. My copy of Home Studio is now visible in my account and not in Demo mode or anything.
 
What's not yet working is "Sonar Professional" - it's still in demo mode, Cakewalk didn't reply to my emails.

I'm glad my advice to manually enter the redemption code helped.

Never mind. I only got CM-Magazine via Google Play Kiosk, there was no other way for me than to enter it manually. Just the first time the website responded that the offer had expired, like user users reported too.

Support is still going but it is very slow and obviously backed up.  Thanks for everyone's patience as we deal with the backlog.  By we, I mean the transition team of which support isn't the only duty.  We'll get through them in due time.
