I've got the Suftube Mixbundle (with included ProChannel versions)

Today I got an e-mail fraom Softube telling me they've updated their plugins to version 2.0.
Among other things the new versions are much more CPU efficiant and they now also have VST3 support...

Cool!
I downloaded and installed at once!
Everything went smooth with the update and in Sonar the plugins now appeard as VST3

..However: The ProChannel-versions are now completely dead. You don't even get the UI when trying to load them.
I understand that this might have something to do with the PC being VST2,
but... well... Does this mean that we shouldn't continue updating these plugins if we want to keep using them in PC?

It should be possible to upgrade to vst2 and vst3. Some programs are not as of yet VST3 compatabel.

Thanks for the heads up. I would have upgraded tomorrow when I got home. But not if it means losing the PC versions.

Just discovered that the plugins still exists in the VST2-folder
When trying to load them from there Sonar instantly crashes

Hmm...
I wonder if the new plugin scanner is involved.  Maybe checking the setting for replace vst2 with vst3 and potentially rescanning your plugins.

You may need to Uncheck "Hide Related VST2" and "Replace VST2 plug-in when opening projects" in your case.

Go to Preferences | File | VST Setting and Uncheck both and give it another try. Let me know if that works.

So you are saying that they still won't work in PC?

I remember people asking when PC came out if it was VST3. I see their reasoning now.
