Hello!

Os: Windows 7 64 bit
Sonar X1 Producer
Sound card: Edirol (Roland) UA-101

I have been using Sonar X1 Producer without even the slightest error since it's release, until yesterday. When I start Sonar I get a message saying "The following driver(s) either do not support the current audio format, or are in use by another application. Please choose whether you want to disable them or use them anyway".

At first I googled this message, and found some advice. I Checked that I used the right bit amount (24, which is what my soundcard supports at highest, changing to 16 did nothing either), disabled Windows system sounds, disabled all other sound devices, reinstalled the driver of the sound card and so forth. But nothing happend, instead I got a sparkling sound from my speakers after reinstalling the driver.

When I push the button in the bottom right corner of Windows to see the sound mixer, I notice that every other program that is supposed to play sounds, except for Sonar is shown there (they are playing sound as well), I suppose this may have something to do with it?

Thanks in advance,
Oskar

Welcome to the forum!
That message most often means audio interface and SONAR are set to different sampling rates.
It's worth checking that the Record- and Playback Timing masters and I/O drivers are correctly set in Preferences.
It has happened that something drops off (seemingly) by itself.

If Edirol is the only interface you use, you should check "Share drivers with other applications".
Many use the mobo soundchip for everything else but SONAR.
