and you went straight to X3C right? I only ask because VBC works perfect on my system with X3B. I am holding off
updating for now to C until things get figured out. I mean I have no need to go to C right now so...

Im on X-3c and Slates VBC works fine. I use those compressors a lot!!

i'm pretty sure ...and i'm on X1 and so they do ....also in X3C all worked exept for no reason the Grey ...so some went wrong ....
 
The thing is that i was unable to fix it ......and my back up just did ....and what i did from the back up state to the issue time was installing and updating X3 and running several deep plugin scan !!  that's all

When I installed the X3c Update I found that lots of things were reset or changed . My Slate VBC Was not functioning correctly ,,, like Mix Control on the Red comp was not giving a dry signal only off . I uninstalled the Slate VBC and reinstalled it and now its fine , but just reinstalling it over the top of the old one didn't fix it.

I'm pretty sure that the plugin manager affects *all* versions of SONAR that are installed - so once X3 screwed it up - restoring your PC was the best bet.
 
Why not just try again? The worst that can happen is that you go back to the "X1" restore again. At least oyu'll know if it was a one off "freak accident" or a repeatable problem with the Slate plugin...
