Hi All,
I always look out for free stuff, you know what they say "If it's free its for me"...
I was just wondering if this is really free or is it limited by some sort of time trial and can I use these audio effects in Sonar X3 Studio version?
IF they are usable with Sonar X3 and no trial time then do I really need FX 1, does FX 3 contain everything that FX 1 has?
Here is the link I'm referring to..

Thanks In Advance

They are really free 32bit DX plug-ins so they will not work in 64bit SONAR. All but the FX3 were included in SONAR for years. I am not sure if they are included anymore. I have not installed 32bit SONAR in some time.

Doesn't say Windows 8 in its compatibility list. If you have Sonar X3 you are way beyond these plugs IMHO.

These are very old plugins and have been surpassed by a lot of freeware. I think they're free with Sonar, but even then, I wouldn't recommend using using them if I'm being brutally honest. There's lots of great freeware alternatives.

FX3 is actually one I still like to use.
It emulates a stage and allows you to move things left to right and front to back via a joy stick. Works great.
I use a DX to VST convertor that runs in Bitbridge. It's really worth the mucking around.

Totally agree Mike about Sound Stage FX 3. It is one of a kind.

They are time limited. You'll try them once and then you'll never bother again. :)

Mudgel, can we get the name of the DX to VST converter? Thanks!

The one I use is by a company called Acon. The program is EffectsChainer. It's a legacy program for which there's no further development or support. It still works in Win 8.1 I've had it ever since Sonar 7 or 8
