Hi all! As the title suggests, I hit up support@xlnaudio.com and told them that I already own Addictive Drums and that I would like to surrender the new (superfluous) Addictive Drums licence that I received from purchasing X3 in exchange for 2 ADpaks and I received this reply:

Hi,
Sure, I can offer you either two ADpaks (not one being Retro ADpak), the Retro ADpak or the Addictive Keys Studio Collection.
Let me have the Register key you got from Sonar X3 and let me know what you want in exchange!

Best regards,
Simon Sigfridsson

I asked for the Metal and Vintage Dry ADpaks. Gave them the Addictive Drums product key from my Cake account and boom!:

Hi
Perfect! :) I have now added the ADpaks you requested to your account. Please download and run the XLN Online Installer to download, install, update and authorize all your XLN Audio Products in just a few clicks! Simply login to your XLN Audio Account on launch, follow the steps and you will be all set. Don't hesitate to get back to me if you have any further questions.

What a class act XLN Audio!!!

And nice partnership Cakewalk! Nice one indeed!!!

To recap, if you already owned Addictive Drums prior to purchasing X3, you can surrender your extra Addictive Drums licence for either:
a) 2 ADpaks; or
b) The Retro ADpak; or
c) Addictive Keys Studio Collection.

For it to go this smoothly, when you email their support? Make sure you are using or that you list the email that your XLN account is linked to, so that they can verify your previous ownership and put the exchanged goodies straight into your account!!!

AD was very new when I became a client of XLN years ago. I have a very positive image of their approach to customer service.
This here is really an excellent PR move.

It looks like XLN and Celemony are both very accommodating to X3 users.   Nice!

If only Celemony had an alternative product to offer in lieu of the Essentials license...

Although I didn't end up buying AD when I was looking for a drum program I was extremely impressed with their customer service and if BFD didn't exist I would most definitely be an AD user.

Definitely a good addition for Cake users who needed a drum program.

I had some issue with AK some days ago and mailed XLNAudio support. 20 min later I got an answer with 6 suggestions to try. Nr 4 solved the issue and I could continue make music. That's some good support!
