I recently bought a new pc that is windows 8 64 bit. I have an older edition sonar 7 producers  64 bit edition loaded on it. I have plugins I want to install in it but it seems when I install the plugins they do not make it to my sonar folder. is there a way I can set up my pc to install plugins in sonar so I can use them in my sonar? I never had this issue and not being a real great pc type of guy I need alittle direction.

 Thanks

In a 64 bit system the 32 bit plugins go to a folder with (x86) in its name, and that's the way it's meant to be.

If you are running 64-bit, you will need to add a second path to your plug-in scan (the scan will also get subfolders, so you only need the top folder assigned). For a default installation, you will need these two paths:

C:\Program Files\Cakewalk
C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk

64-bit programs (and plug-ins) default to "Program Files" and 32-bit versions will be in "Program Files (x86)"
