Hello, I bought the Sonar V-studio 100, I have a Lenovo Y40-70 (Intel i7, 16 GB Ram, USB 2 ports, USB 3 ports, AMD Graphics), a Yamaha PSR-510, and a small guitar amplifier. The Keyboard has the midi properly plugged into the V-Studio 100, and the AMP is plugged into the 1/4 inch out jack on the V-studio 100. I properly installed the CD drivers that came with the NIB kit using a brand new external CD drive, and installed the "vs100_sys_v150" firmware update properly to the V-Studio 100. Now I just need to install the "vs100_wind_v201" but every single installation .exe I try running (Vista 32, 64, win 7 32, 64, standard vista, standard 7, or just xp version) I am told that the program is not compatible with my OS. I properly extracted the .zip folder inside my downloads folder. I was previously running windows 8.1, but I upgraded to windows 10 recently, and updated my drivers for my AMD graphics card to prevent "Internal_Power_error"s from crashing my computer. My (C:) has 596 of 869 gb free, my (D:) has 21.7 of 24.9 and finally my split drive from my C drive which is drive (M:) has 19.4 of 19.5 free. Cakewalk no longer provides any support to this product whatsoever which is a rip off considering I spent $300 on this equipment with no refund available because of the copy protection. My reason for updating these drivers is because the sonar vstudio music program does this little number,(Picture below) and refuses to play music, or anything... I doubt I would as much get a store credit from cakewalk, or anything, but if any of you know how to fix my problem, please help me. I won't run virtual PCs because all the readme files say that won't work. If you fixed it that way, or have a friend that did it that way, and have no other advice, it would still be appreciated to know how they did it, and all.

Try contacting Roland. They made the unit and are responsible for supporting it. There is a v2.02 driver on their download page http://www.roland.com/pro...-studio_100/downloads/

I'm in the same boat... however, mine worked perfectly with windows 8.1 (finally). I was an idiot to update to windows 10 on DAW machine because i completely forgot to consider that my vs 100 wouldn't work anymore. I  should have known, because there was difficulty switching from 8 to 8.1 initially.
Since vs didn't work with Windows 10, I went back to 8.1.... but can't get the v-Studio 100 to work again (as control surface) for some reason. I've reinstalled the latest driver for windows 8.1, reinstalled Sonar (platinum), clean install of Windows 8.1, all windows updates are current... still no luck.

My problem isn't so much the control surface, but the software. I can't get songs to play, and the tracks don't have their standard waves, or midi lines/chords. They're just filled with like dots over the entire track. (Check picture in first post.)  I am still updating drivers, but it doesn't work. Is it the VS 100 box, or my pc and software settings?

Also thank you to everyone for posting answers and replies, it always helps to know more than less.

Hi!
I have the V-Studio 100 and recently I have updated my computer from W7 to W10. I have installed the W8.1 drivers but it doesn't work. Does anybody know if Roland or Cakewalk will upload the W10 drivers?
Thanks!
