  • [Solved] Trying to move Rapture Pro Dimension Pro and Rapture libraries to second HDD

Hi all.

I need to free up some real estate on my SSD so I thought to move the libraries for the above. I figured the easiest way would be to uninstall and reinstall as I'd read the CCC gives an option to install the libraries on a separate location. So I uninstalled, then deleted folders under program files and program data. I reinstalled Rapture Pro first and CCC just put it all back on my C drive. There was no option to put the libraries elsewhere.

Am I missing something? Any help much appreciated.

Cheers

Mark

Move "C:\Cakewalk Content\Cakewalk Sample Data\Rapture Pro" where you want it and create a directory junction to the original location. see similar thread http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3508523

Thanks scook. I'd read that thread while searching but wasn't sure I wanted to start messing with the directory. I'll give it a go a bit later today.

Either mess with the directory or mess with the registry, your call. The reason there is no option to install the sample folder during install is because the sample folder has already been setup in the registry. I try to steer away from registry edits, directory junctions are a safer solution.

I wasn't aware there was a difference . OK directory junctions it is. Should be an interesting learning curve. I'll read that thread thoroughly until I fully understand what I'm doing before I do it.

Thanks again.

Thanks scook! Seems to have gone off without a hitch. My SSD looks a lot healthier now.

Can I use the same process to move the libraries for Dim Pro and Rapture?
