Very smooth song to listen to.  Interesting collaboration.  To me the singing sounds more country than pop.  Really enjoy the chord progression and melody.
 
One change I would make would be to change the ending.  Redo the chorus and do a long (8 measures perhaps?) fade out for the ending.

Good tune!  The mix is solid and wide, and the arrangement seems to work well for the style.   I think the vocals fit as well, though I would personally tweak the pitch in a few select spots...  but minimally as to not ruin the feel.    Good job all around.

Happens to me all the time. I have a ton of projects that are sometimes nothing more than an intro. When I finally start working on it in earnest, quite often it goes in a direction I never expected.
