That deal might be the last way to get Sonar. I grabbed it on a sale for $42 Can , was $30 us. Regular price has been $49US.  It's pretty close to the same as Splat. A few things are missing like the event list and of course no pro channel. It even includes enough VST's to turn out a pretty good sounding track.  I use it on a laptop at work for all midi projects using ASIO4all. It has never crashed on both W7 and W10. SOlid version so if you can still get your hands on it free that's gotta be a no brainier.

message saying the offers expired.

Which offer is saying its expired?  Buying Computer Music Mag or redeeming the code on CW's end?

Redeeming on cakewalk site.

No surprise. They have closed all doors now I guess. There will still be hardware out there with "incudes Sonar DAW" and if it's not on a disk it will now be worthless. 

Figures. Oh well, Johnny says it doesn't have an Event List, which would be a deal-breaker for me.
Not only are they closing all the doors, they seem to be doing their best to absolutely kill Sonar.

Will Sonar Home Studio 6 work with windows 10

I don't see why it wouldn't. All kinds of older software works on it.

I did some more extensive work in SHS 6 last night on this W 10 box, and everything I tried worked.

Same problem here. Bought 2 days ago because my Sonar Pro only launches in Demo mode.
 
The website at Cakewalk for activating Home Studio said "Offer Expired". I emailed my activation code to the Activation Support at Sonar but didn't receive an answer yet. Home Studio isn't present in my CCC.
 
Well it's been xmas and new years eve and things are probably pretty chaotic at Cakewalk atm, so maybe we need to wait a bit longer, I don't know. :(

Strange thing. After I wrote here I've checked for the activation of Home Studio at Cakewalks Website again. This time it worked and Home Studio was added to my CCC. Downloading now and checking for activation (opposed to "Demo Mode"). Will report back.
