Hi!
I'm having the above issue just as I finished my track! Typical! It starts to load (in either prog vers) and gets to 96% every time and just crashes out. (Reports are below) The latest things I did to the track was use v-vocal on a few recordings (but bounced the clips as far as I remember) and I used Limiter 6 plug-in to try a bit of mastering out. Sonar X3 rendered the track nicely but I wanted to tweak a few things today and now have this on-going issue. I tried safe mode on both progs, excluded all plugs but...still the same. Tried excluding most plugs but still the same. I checked event viewer and it shows the info below and along with the Sonar.exe crash warning I get a DeltaII (s/card) warning also although they are a few minutes apart. I can load my other tracks fine! and I'm almost positive I have used v-vocal and limiter 6 fine before with no probs. One other thing I did was I moved my track location from a folder on desktop to inside another folder last week. When I went to open the song after doing this Sonar obviously said it couldn't find it so I manually opened it via Sonar open file at start menu and directed it to the new location which opened fine and loaded fine a few times since then (I have tried reversing this process but no joy) I also installed sound-forge 9 and fruity loops 10 recently. Last night I rendered a wav and slipped it in sforge to boost vol and convert to mp3. I plugged my Sony Experian phone in and copied the mp3 over. Turned off PC and tried to open the song today and felt my guts sink!!! grrr!!! p.s. I use a mix of vsts/plugs and jbridge. All seemed to work fine. All other songs are totally fine to open and use.

Any help, ideas, salvation! would be greatly appreciated :)

Running Win7 Home Prem, Serv Pk 1, Intel core 2 quad, 2.4 & 2.9 Ghz, 2gig ram, DeltaII sound card.

Maybe check your disk for file system and or media errors.

you might have a corrupted wav file (from the vvocal track?).  Copy the whole project to a different folder, delete the last couple of wav files in the audio folder and see if it loads.

I have no idea if that will be it, but it's a thought.

Hey Jimbo, I tried what you suggested and one by one they didn't make a difference :/ I even deleted all the recordings from yesterday but no joy. Exact same crash. Wondering if the song file is corrupt. I will do a disk and file check now as suggested by Bitman. Absolutely gutted if this doesn't recover. I have an older version of the song but I did a lot of work yesterday to complete it...sigh! Curious as to whether V-Vocal has caused this.

Still no joy! No errors on file system and disk. I did recovery to a few days ago, removed SF9 and fruity Loops. Removed C++. I tried V-Vocal on another track, bounced and saved, all fine! Nightmare! I should have made a backup :/
Any other ideas....anyone?

Try saving as a bundle file, then unpacking that to a new folder. That should strip off transient data and the V-Vocal FX regions if there are any hidden in the file.

Hi Mettelus,
Could you please advise on how I can do that? I cannot load the track up unfortunately :/

Ouch, my bad, I missed that detail. I am not sure if you can save one if the project won't load.

If it is V-Vocal in the project file, and option would be to copy the project to a new directory, but NOT copy over the last wav files you edited. SONAR will then tell you you have missing audio, but do not find them... If SONAR doesn't load a wav to process against, the V-Vocal data might strip off, then you can save the project with a new name and import to original wav file (if that works).

Edit: Moved to the post below.
