Well,well well,
I'm certainly not out looking for[more] trouble but....
I get hacked, lose all my projects/licenses[still have external etc,but....],still being a newb with computers[2years?]I end up spending weeks getting back into my old user account[along with 10+ UNKNOWN friends...truly awful, MSE does zilch!] on my C: drive, because of all this,I can't use a credit card online ATM,so I Totally miss out on X3's release, and NOW I see good ole Zo-who wisely skipped X2,and now he's having prob's with X3 [which I "can't buy"].......is there something like an asteroid hurtling our way or something?

By the way Zo knows his sh.. um stuff,he's a teacher at SAE.
Cheery cheers
Bob

Edit: I now see,he's explained himself exceptionally, especially for someone where english is not their first language......Still wondering about asteroids, and deeply hidden "other loggers on".....computers,I knew there was a reason I waited until S.Bridge[not that it makes any difference!]

Ok anybody noticed that :

Track view for exemple , bus zone maximise each bus ..then n X1 when we used to scroll throw them we used to see each track taken the whole space ...not in X3 !! while doing it with arrow workkds , each mouse scrool doesn't do it ....

anybody can confirm this ?

Confirmed the VSTi "Solo GUI" issue here.

If you close the GUI while solo'd, re-open the GUI, Solo status in the GUI is no longer lit.

Switching the Solo in the VSTi GUI lights it again, and brings the GUI status back in sync (without any change to the actual real solo status).

Cheers - Cliff

I can confirm this also. Acts the same on my Home PC as it does for Cliff.

And I am assuming Zo that you have learned this is intended.

But never thought of using the arrow key to do the old behavior!! Good one there!

I simply do NOT see this at all...

I can do videos if you want, but maschine loading is 6 secs from hitting ok to the folder, midi track and 16 audio tracks plus maschine VST window opening. It does take 2 secs longer than X1 however

Ok guyz here's the thing ..

I've been fighting with Sonar X3 since its install (and re install)) but i decided to work like nothing happened today

First thing i open a template (project) and insert Maschine 16 out template !

Super duper slow insert !!! i was like what ? ok  i open X1 , do the same : way faster ....

i also changed the default track size to check if iyt wasn't this causing the issue : nope ...

One more thing it seem that the graphic engine of X3 is way more hungry when it comes to ram ..

here's the videos :

X1 :

X3

Can somebody confirm this with a multi timbrale Template (by the way i tried with a X3 saved template : same thing

24 sec for X1
1min04 for X3 !!

I have also noticed Maschine template load times (probably all track template load times....ominsphere, garritan, kontakt) slow down over the past three versions.

X1 is the smoothest by far with no visible stuttering like later versions at ~9 seconds
X2 ~10secs
X3 is 15 seconds.

My Maschine insert (16x audio, 8x midi) also seems to take quite long. I never used it before X3 to be honest so I can't compare, but I was surprised it takes as long as it does, my system may not be the very top of the line but it's certainly no slouch.

intendend behavior, its called fractional scrolling.

thks guyz for checking it  and taking time ;)

well my template is pretty heavy as buses , plugins are in and sample on a 7200rpm drive ...but even on a regular insert (no tempplate) in noticed a big diffrence ....at the end , i just want X3 to not be worst than X1 in working areas .....

 9/15 this is 50%

i think the load time depends on maschine banks (i have pretty all) + icons + buses and effects link anyway ...my noise telling me (or my little finger) that some under the hood is less optimised or more poluated

Can anybody confirm that we have less color customasition in the console view versus x1 ?

X1 : working
X3 : not working the same

you're saying this is the way it's supposed to work ? if so , a pure drawback !!! if it was implemented like this in X1 this was for a reason ....am i missing something or a new way to do it ?
