I don't see the Pro Channel Tape Emulator AC hum fix..?

QA clarified for me that this actually was fixed, we just missed it in the notes. Added :)

Another thing that would be cool now that I understand Craig Anderton's Advanced Workshop entry about frequency filtering with the VS 64 Multiband Compressor (or whatever it's called) is if the PC EQ had a setting to filter out bands in a similar way. The VS Multiband is pretty resource intensive so to have multiple instances of it just to portion out parts of the frequency spectrum might bog a project down. The current band filters on the PC are curved in such a way it wouldn't be the same thing. So if there was a filter setting that didn't actually process anything but just created 4 or 5 blocks that could be individually bypassed/silenced all that would have to be done is clone the tracks. This way if I'm working on a guitar part I can set up my sims and other effects based on a specific range without using a plugin to filter the frequencies and/or screw around too much trying to isolate the bands.

Not sure if that makes sense... but it would definitely be helpful to me considering I am always trying to find the ultimate guitar tone and my amps/soundroom are very limited.

Can someone please post the file signature for the x3c update download? md5 or any sha.
I can't find it on the cakewalk site.

Thanks

They fixed that thing? OMG... I have no idea what the heck was going on with that chord box dialog. It was like it was on acid or something. Was that a bug or was it supposed to warp the chod names like that? It didn't make any sense! Ok... that is a very good improvement for my personal needs. Does it let you change the chord name too or are you stuck with what Sonar guesses it to be?

Wouldn't having a MIDI note trigger halfway through kind of screw up the feel of of things? Like you'd get the initial attack at the wrong point in the mix? I'd just freeze the synth if it's that huge a deal and I needed to start playback from that exact point. Perhaps I'm missing something here and I don't mean to sound dismissive of another person's problems but it doesn't seem like something to totally scrap a DAW over.

Convinced you at last eh Beep!!

I think you're absolutely spot on.
Most lengthy Midi notes have some sort of evolving timbre which would not evolve properly by starting halfway through the note.

Temporarily freezing the synth is the perfect workaround and one I use in nearly every project.

+1

I guess other DAW's that do this either scan back and trigger note on at the "wrong place" or have some kind of background freeze. Neither which I think I would like Sonar to do. Especially not the first one.

Nice patch by the way, the Pod farm is fixed as well!
Thanks bakers!

Sorry guys I missed that on the notes too. It was officially fixed by a dev and officially regressed by QA.

I blame the Red Sox.

Really though... I have to know, why did the chord names warp like that? It was crazy and I totally gave up trying to use it. That will make that feature usable again and I need it for printing/printscreening lessons or compositions for other musicinas/students. Good one.
