I updated to X3c (producer) this morning, opened my latest project, and was met with a 60 cycle hum.  This occurred with the last 3 projects that I had started in X2.  All of these projects use only native plug ins that came with X2 or X3 except for Superior Drummer which was not the cause of the hum.  I opened the projects in safe mode without all plug ins and the problem went away.  I started getting this problem just after X3 came out, and it was caused by the Tape Emulator PC plug in.  When I removed the TE from my projects it went away.  I was hoping X3C would fix this, but instead, it got worse.  I had to restore my computer to just before I installed X3C, and now I can open all my projects without the annoying hum.  I'm waiting for tech support to open, but I'm not a happy camper this morning.  I'm just wondering if anyone else is having this problem.

I've narrowed it down a bit more and it's kinda weird. It is only buzzing on mono interleaved tracks. It seems the right channel of the Console Emulator is buzzing while the left processes the mono signal. Bizzare. I never had this with X3b.

Can you try following the directions on this page and tell me if you are still getting this error with the Tape Emulator?

Yes, the problem with Tape Emulator's Noise level (including the 60Hz hum emulation) getting continuously higher over time has been acknowledged and referred to the third-party plugin developer. In the mean time, don't use the plugin or replace the instance and keep the Noise level at 0 (I think that should avoid it, but haven't actually tried it).

EDIT: Oops. Cross-posted. So this is fixed in X3c, but might require a re-scan?

"The reason we do not forcefully run this process for upgrade installations is because performing this process will remove custom configuration settings applied to plug-ins. For example, if you configure an audio effect as a synth, this setting will be erased and you will need to reapply the setting. Please keep this in mind when performing the below steps."

I would certain throw this in as a prompt for this activity when installing (default ticked off).

Cheers

seems like the emulation is just too good.. even includes the emulation of a bad RCA jack in that old reel/reel!
