PERSONALLY???

I wish the moderator would remove this silly post.

of all the things one must do each day ...starting a mess over nothing seems like it would be impossibly low on the list.
Allow me to add my cheers to a great product with great customer service...

AYE!

I really hope I speak for the bulk of the Sonar Community when I express this sentiment...

I heard about the X3c Upgrade coming in October...and probably like most of you, started checking my email more frequently starting October 15th in anticipation...and as it happens, Sonar made us wait to the last possible day...SHAME ON YOU SONAR!

As much as I was looking forward to the upgrade, I absolutely hated having to wait until Sonar couldn't put it off any longer in order hit their promised announcement date.

I FOR ONE WOULD RATHER SONAR HAD ANNOUNCED EARLY NOVEMBER...what say we all?

This has got to be a joke.   Come back and tell us you are joking.

mr5strings, I really hope you were kidding and that just didn't come through.

I run a 45 person software company. If a company promises a release in a given month, ALWAYS assume the last day of the month. If they actually ship it in the month they promise, they should be commended, not condemned.

seriously.

Cake, I was a bit miffed over the quality and stability of X2 and vocalized that a bit (though not too much because I've worn your shoes :)). You guys have done a GREAT job with X3 and the quick updates. Well done!

At least you have a car!!! Cakewalk destroyed mine..... Grrrr I also have reason to believe they are responsible for global warming.. Is there no limit...

I really don't get the new screen layout with the X3C patch.

I have a HUGE complaint.

But, it's about how my pal Mooch4056 treats me.

And that my friends is another story for another time.

And this thread is just another example of the reason we sometimes are hesitant to share information and put down exact dates. Software is not like hardware, where you put it in production months before. We try to get these updates out as quickly as possible with the max amount of fixes. Therefore there's always a chance things could slip a few days.

Andrew, please don't let stuff like this alter your way of thinking. You guys are in the same boat as we that release CD's if you think about it. You may get 500 reviews saying how much you're loved and appreciated, and then 10 come out of the woodwork and tell you how bad you are, your service sucks and you guys are ripping people off. The bad reviews (even if they are VERY few) always seem to over-shadow the loads of great reviews. I've always hated that part of the entertainment business. :(

I'm blown away that you guys have resumed being on here like the old days while keeping us informed. If 50-100 people on this forum were to bash on you, remember there are thousands of us that love and appreciate what you guys are doing right now. I'm seeing Bakers pop up all over this forum attempting to help users....I'd be willing to bet PM's are flying all over the forum trying to help people as well, and these patches are coming out faster than ever before.

We may not be in a perfect position yet with this release, but I think we have come leaps and bounds from where we've been in the past. Some people may say "well things like this weren't the case with 8.0 and 8.5!" We also didn't have as much going on with them as we do here. Not to mention the whole new plugin thing....we just have to have a little patience. I think it's much easier for the majority of us to swallow knowing you guys are here where we can blatantly see you and we know you're working on fixes. I know it can't always be that way, but just know that the majority of us do appreciate that form of communication over the silence we've gotten in the past. Hopefully you and the other Bakers can just shrug posts like these off and continue to keep your moral high while interacting with us to make Sonar the DAW that we all know it can be. Thank you for everything...please keep up the great work and continue to update us even if timelines wind up being off by a lot.
