Zo please check my previous link on agile development....

And this perhaps:

Yup I used to work for a QA dept, amongst other things, but I won't dwell on this ;)

... and one thread per bug, it's a discipline :)

Cheers...

lol strange when you guyz pass from "your system is the cause" to rethoric anaylsis .....i would have been super cool if i wasn't treated like a kid ....that's all .....

yep one bug per thread ? i wanted to share my first contact with the software in one thread and i kept discovering bugs after bugs ...then i stopped and decided to creat the "Boston we have a problem "thread   this was my CRIME .....

Just say Zo please do this and that to keep consttructive would have been great , instead i go some in mature "your system " , you don't know , you troll"  shhhh

CNN bashing style .....i'm still amazed (and this thread became an attraction for some friends) by some of the post (posters)

if you don't mind Alex , have a look on this thing if you can reproduce :

When something doesn't work as you think it should. it is frustrating. It sucks that you are frustrated.

But when considering true bugs versus "there may be something wrong on my end", there are a few things to consider.

1) If small-to-no-users can't reproduce the issue... it may be you
2) It could be Cake
3) Use the forum like you are to find your solution. Or try different ways to fix it (i.e. are your plugins/hardware drivers current?)
4) Build a box from scratch and see how it works.

Work through it to see if you can make headway, because I don't encounter the same issues as you.

Amazing how many non-X3 users (still on previous versions) are so quick to comment on X3 behavior that they haven't seen or experienced themselves.

I guess it's because they're anxious to see how many bugs they'll get fixed for 150$

It's kind of fascinating to watch all you beta testers hard at work.  Up until today I felt that you were more or less being (ab)used by Cakewalk to do their beta testing for them, for free.

I had a sort of revelation a few hours ago.  First, I get the impression some of you really enjoy doing this and second, the help you provide Cakewalk makes the whole thing a team effort and may very well be contributing substantially to Sonar's very reasonable price (ignoring for the moment the issue of bugs that persist).

So keep up the good work.  If I and my family weren't broke (we weren't last year) I'd have certainly already bought the update.  Now I want to make sure I get something useful, and I don't need any of the new bells and whistles.

This thread started off pretty constructive but has degraded pretty quickly. Just an observation.

Paul P , to be fair what Cake done here in one months is pretty good as i remeber getting X1 solid at the X1D few weeks after release ....

i think a lot of issue are realted to new features + VST 3 support and the  new plugin manager ...  wait and see , as usual don't update from day one , i updated to X1 i remember at X1 C  if i would have done it now , i would have been way less upset ...

SONAR X3 has been pretty stable from the initial release and I don't think the majority of X3 customers feel like they are being abused at all. The reality is that in the field, issues come up and they get reported back to us. This isn't specific to SONAR but every software out there. We've been hard at work and listening to users. We are committed to keep on improving SONAR beyond the initial release.

Andrew , may i suggest a simple thing :
a data base with dynamic update as soon as a bug is validated and escaladed by you guyz , like this we will not spend time in those kinda of bulsssshhhit  ....

exemple : i have a bug A , i check the list , if it's in , i move on , if not , i post and submit then if no workaround
