good morning everyone. I have an engineer/producer question. I will try and make myself as clear as possible. I have a song with 16 tracks, I have 3 guitar solo tracks that I have routed to a bus that has the VC-64 on it. my question is, when I bounce or mix down the song to a stereo track do I MUTE the 3 separate  guitar solo tracks and just "send" the BUS to the stereo track, or do I "send" the 3 separate guitar solo tracks AND the solo BUS track?  
i'm quite sure most (if not all) of you think this is a dumb question however i'm at a loss as to how to do this.

If you mute your guitar bus, how do your guitar tracks make it onto the stereo mixdown?
Answer is: they can't, so you don't mute the buss and you don't mute the tracks.
 
This is assuming that you have routed the output of the 3 tracks to your guitar buss and NOT by way of a send
 
Track Outputs > Busses
Sends > Busses
Buss Outputs > Master Buss
Master Buss > Main Outs

I most generally use the "Entire Mix" as the Source Category and the default Mix Enables settings for exports. This makes questions like this one moot. If the mix sounds right in SONAR, the "Entire Mix" export should sound the same.

The only time Entire Mix will yield a different result is when you have more than one set of output pairs routed inside Sonar - like I do - for setting up a dedicated headphone feed to my interface.
 
Sonar will, in this instance, double up the volume for each active pair and you'll get a 6dB increase in your export.
 
This drove me crazy until a Baker explained this, several years ago.
 
I now use Main Outs exclusively for Exporting
