I fear someday that I will probably own all but 2 of those DAWs on the list. I have half of them.

And the order of that list is why I put no stock in these type of polls.

Probably the same reason why people have so many plugins.  You become aware that some many DAWs are apples and oranges.  DAWs that have a staff view are ideal for orchestra work.  FL and Live are great for dance genres.   I'm not surprised FL is the top choice.  These polls are decided by the hobbyist.  FL is affordable and a different way of doing things.  Support is top notch and the developers are in touch with the end user.  Live is a great DAW but overpriced IMO and is great for working with audio files. Also the real estate is small.

Working with different DAWs is fun.  People are insecure when it comes to DAWs because artist X doesn't use it or they take these polls seriously. Then you have people treat them like religions and declare jihad because you insulted or criticized their DAW.   FL at #1, Sonar at #7 speaks a lot since these are not yet cross platform.  I wonder where Logic would rank if it were cross platform. Unfortunately Apple is stubborn.

Hoo-frickin'-ray!!! Anybody remember iTunes for Windows? Or Quicktime now, for that matter?

The very LAST piece of software I want on my PC is one written by Apple.

Does this mean I should own FL?  Does it plug into SONAR?  Will it record audio too?
