I mentioned on here a while ago about an employee of mine who sadly lost his life in a subway accident. Well him and his friends used to climb to the top of skyscrapers and take those insane seat of the pants type photos, even stills give me a bit of vertigo. His Instagram account is
https://www.instagram.com/heavy_minds/ and he took many of his crazier shots down because he was planning on joining the NYPD before he passed, I saw some of them at a memorial gallery his parents put on for him recently and wow some of them are scary.
We used to do stuff like that when I was younger. It all stopped for me one night when we "tightrope walked" across these very narrow beams under a 100ft high bridge. It was a windy day, we'd had a bit to drink and it was basically an insane thing to do. Halfway across a huge gust of wind caught me and I only just managed to keep my balance, but my cap got blown off and the sight of it tumbling into infinity was a shock, I thought "that could be me" and it was enough to end my crazy streak right there.
