I've done that on a 100 ft lighting tower and it was scary. Those things move a lot and I was glad to have a safety system in place. A tower that big would require lots of stamina.

I didn't even watch it, I already know. I CAN'T even watch the video. I can give myself vertigo just thinking about being on a roof or on a bridge.

I've always had issues with heights and movements. I remember when I was twelve watching footage shot from a roller coaster - and suffered from violent dizziness issues all through the next day. 3D games make me ill in a matter of minutes.

Ever since the car accident and my first MRI in 2014, I discovered that I also suffered from acute claustrophobia - and every other "phobia" that I had seem to have been multiplied by 10 in intensity. Just being on the 2nd floor of a parking garage makes me feel sick. I painted the house recently and couldn't climb any higher than the 3rd step on the ladder (fortunately, I'm a tall guy). Things that I did 3 years ago now seem impossible. But I'm working on it...

So, no thanks.

My balcony is about 300 ft up and I can see at least 40 miles. Some of my friends can't go on the balcony without anxiety but I love it.

Every time I see HMS Victory or Cutty Sark I can't help but think how much fun it must have been up there in the rigging in the dark trying to undo or tie knots and handle waterlogged heavy canvas sails in a 70-90 miles an hour wind, sub-zero temperatures and the ship pitching and heeling like a bucking bronco.

Not.

I was playing guitar tech at the Brooklyn Bowl for friends of ours last week. Just being on the mezzanine on the second floor and I felt dizzy. My wife went out for a smoke but I couldn't even get out the door.

By comparison, back in the 90's I used to live in this 5 stories apartment building and we'd sometimes hang out on the roof. I could sit on the ledge and watch the street below. I swear to you, just thinking about it now I feel like I'm pulled down at a 1000 mph.

Your balcony would be out of the question for me. I couldn't even be in an apartment that high above the ground.

I mentioned on here a while ago about an employee of mine who sadly lost his life in a subway accident. Well him and his friends used to climb to the top of skyscrapers and take those insane seat of the pants type photos, even stills give me a bit of vertigo. His Instagram account is https://www.instagram.com/heavy_minds/ and he took many of his crazier shots down because he was planning on joining the NYPD before he passed, I saw some of them at a memorial gallery his parents put on for him recently and wow some of them are scary.

We used to do stuff like that when I was younger. It all stopped for me one night when we "tightrope walked" across these very narrow beams under a 100ft high bridge. It was a windy day, we'd had a bit to drink and it was basically an insane thing to do. Halfway across a huge gust of wind caught me and I only just managed to keep my balance, but my cap got blown off and the sight of it tumbling into infinity was a shock, I thought "that could be me" and it was enough to end my crazy streak right there.

How do they get away with not requiring safety straps. Unimaginably stupid! At the least you should be wearing a wingman suit.

Offered a seven digit amount of dollars a parachute and no time limit I'd attempt it.

They are required, just not enforced...

Hi,

Well, I don't think that I have any plans on the calendar to visit the Space Needle or the Empire State Building any time soon before I depart ... after that the ideas are quite OK with me, except I would rather ride in a big rocket into space and watch the view from up there.

I do this really well in my dreams, as far as Pluto or there abouts, and there is a small "Joe's Cafe" in that moon over there, but no Duck Dodgers to be found anywhere! We'll have to have a conversation with Mr. Jones about that!

I am not ashamed to place myself in the NFW category. I don't even like being on the roof of my house.

You and me both dude.

Wow. 100 people died on communications towers between 2003 and 2011. That's one a month.
