  • Midi Sequence length changes after using notes to tracks cal file on drum track

Ran into something very unusual yesterday.   I purchase many of my midi sequences which usually have all the drums on one track.  As a result I will use the cal file "notes to tracks" which separates the various midi drum notes into separate tracks.  After I do this, I found that the overall length of the sequence gets longer however there is no information on the tracks beyond the original length of the sequence.  For example on an unaltered sequence, if it ends at 3:30...after I separate the drums notes to separate tracks using cal, there is a blank space of varied lengths on each of the drum tracks.  Of course this causes the issue that after the sequence is finished playing, it continues to run until it comes to the end of this "blank space".  I checked the events in the drum tracks and there are no events shown after the end of the sequence.
Any help on deleting this blank space would be greatly appreciated.

Check the length of each "note"

A note with an unusually long length will increase the length of the clip it's in

I always set my drum note lengths to 30 ticks.

Select all & change in the Event Inspector.

If it's not that we'll think of something else

Thanks for your input.  I checked the note lengths and that does not seem to be the issue.  What's really weird is that before I separated the drum tracks it was no problem.  It wasn't until I used 'split notes to tracks' cal file that the problem started.

Ok, select all your clips, right click & choose "apply trimming"
