Thanks scook, noynekker. The 'rescan' did the trick.
I got a little 'registry error' - 'please ensure this product is installed properly' pop up on the rescanning of a couple amplitube addons ('Hendrix' and 'Metal' amp models), during the rescanning process...

IIRC, others have reported issues with amplitube while performing the X3 recan, not sure what the resolution was.

This is correct. If you uninstalled X2 or any other earlier versions of Sonar, it took V-Vocal with it. Just put in your X2 install and set it for custom install...and just install VV and nothing else. It will take 10 seconds and you'll be ok after a rescan.
