Hi,
What are peoples thoughts on using sonar to import you're finished mix, then use it as a mastering platform utilising all you available plug-ins.

Would WaveLab, or Adobe Audition be a better choice?

Lots of people do it. Sonar Plat has everything you need to master even has some templates to get you started  BUT .. I like using Ozone.
 
 

I think it is like most things - good mastering is more dependent on the practitioner than the tool they are using. A good mastering engineer can make a song sound good whether they use Sonar, Ozone or even Audacity. 

I have used and do use Sonar for mastering. I also have Soundforge and I have Studio one 3. I prefer Sonar.

Use what you've got, that's my philosophy. SONAR's as good a platform as any for mastering. SONAR + Ozone can't be beat, IMO.
 
The only thing better would be to turn your stuff over to a second set of ears and let someone else do the mastering in another room, perhaps with better speakers than you have.
