It really helps if you do a 2 measure count in and use the Sonar metronome to keep you on a specific tempo. That way, you won't drift and BB in chord recognition mode can do a better job.
 
I tend to work the other way around.... I compose in BB, render the tracks from RB, export them into Sonar and mix there as well as add my own playing and vocals.
