For a 'Stock' verb I'd go algo, not convo.
ValhallaVintageVerb is your best bet for quality & value.

East west's "Spaces" is imo their best product and I have most of their collection.  Also have most of the reverbs mentioned and more, maybe a dozen.  Always go back to Spaces... just so exquisite! Valhalla for the $$$, Spaces for the orgasm! While reg. price is $195, periodically (just had one) they do a half off sale.

I'm a vocalist and have always searched for that wonderous glisten... bought this, that...always searching whenever I had some extra coin... I have to laugh/cry at the $$$ as I could really do with just two these days.... Spaces/valhalla.

East west's "Spaces" has amazing reviews and some very sweet examples.
Tempting. I wonder how it compares with Perfect Space sound wise.
I read it is not a cpu hog at least but it does require an Ilok Key which is $50 extra.
I'd love to hear when it goes on sale.

....  Every now and then i will watch one of Craig Anderton's videos or read one of his articles to remind me of how much can be done with the stock plugins.

Craig knows how to squeeze the most out of the stock plugins.

He just had an article in Sound On Sound entitled "Space Exploration":
http://www.soundonsound.c...s/sonar-notes-0813.htm

In it, he talks about using Sonitus with early reflections turned off - feeding into - Breverb.
...Daisy-Chaining stock reverbs... a wash of verb for guitars... brilliant!

In that same article, Craig also mentions using Stereo Tools - a great stock plug in - for "widening" Breverb's output.

Amazing results with STOCK Sonar plugins...

Cheers,
MG

ps,
OK, that being said, have you all seen the video for SparkVerb?
http://www.uvi.net/en/software/sparkverb.html
be sure to watch long enough to see their "Preset Voyager"... cool stuff...

Yeh - I'm a plugin addict...
... waiting for a sale on that one... :)

Anderton's X1 videos show a lot of tricks with stock effects. Highly recommended.

Yeah I hear Breverb is good. I'm stuck with X1 until I upgrade my computer.
Thanks for the links

Just visit Soundsonline now and then to catch their sales. If you don't have any EW products, the 50$ for the ILOK will get you into all of their stuff, and they have a huge variety, something for everybody. And Spaces will not disappoint you. I'm sure there are better verbs out there, but for 99$ (on sale price) it's a no-brainer.
