  • Moving clips: snap to not working at all after X3b update!

I haven't seen any comments here about snap problems when moving clips.  Maybe it's just me, but when trying to move clips nothing I am doing can make it snap to the measure as I was able to do before updating to X3b.  I changed the settings i.e. magnetic strength, move to etc. and there is no effect.  It's as if snap has been turned off.  I might have to roll back windows to before the installing the update.  Anyone else experience this?

It's working just fine for me. I wish I could help.

Thanks for the reports.   Going to close it for the day and come back tomorrow.  Maybe after rebooting the problem will be resolved.

If it's still acting oddly, make sure it's set to Snap To and not Snap By, and also check whether any Landmarks are toggled on.   Those could be giving you unexpected results.

Hey, Thanks for that info.  That was it.  I just turn off the snap to landmarks button. Sorry it took so long to respond.  It took a week before I could get back and work with X3b after doing a PC upgrade to a bigger C drive so I could install Windows 8.  That's all worked out and I'm back online.   Thanks!

You're welcome!   Glad to see you're back up and running with a well behaved snap function.

FWIW, landmarks can be very useful for moving things from "here" to "there", where the "here" and "there" happen to not be on the grid.
