I have 2 HP 2331 23" monitors, 1920 x 1080 resolution. I keep the console view on one monitor and the track view on the other. I'd like to add a larger monitor or possibly a HDTV as a 3rd viewing source. That'd be cool but it's not in the budget at this time.

I have four 19" 5:4 ratio 1280x1024 Dell monitors in a 2-up 2-down arrangement. Track View permanently spans the top 2 screens while CV, PRV or some combination of other view windows or docked GUIs occupy the lower screens, depending on which screenset is selected.

Four separate screens suited Sonar 7 very well, but probably one single very large screen would suit the X-series better.

I definitely prefer a 2 monitor setup, even in X3. I like to have the track view and console view visible at the same time.

I have two 24" monitors with 16:10 aspect ratio running 1920x1200 side by side,

16:10 aspect ratio is highly recommended over 16:9 screens, the additional vertical screen real estate will be enjoyed years after you forget the monitor was a few dollars more expensive.

One of my monitors recently died and for a while I was forced to operate with just one monitor

It was HORRIBLE!!!!

Once I'd fixed the broken one it was like getting an old friend back, no kidding.

Dual monitors all the way, and the bigger the better

I'm on 3 x 24" Samsung Monitors spread out in front of me and then have a 46" Samsung TV wall mounted for the video view from Sonar for when I am sound designing.

Rockingly good!

I sometimes use the hdmi out from my laptop to a hd tv.. a samsung ..BUT the aspect isn't 100% correct and the title bars on windows aren't all on screen.. not sure if it does vga any better. I should try at some point.. doesn't matter due to not using the sound that hdmi provides
