The thing that I feel everyone needs to remember is...in a sense, any of the Bakers being here taking part should be respected to where they are not drawn into a battle. Nothing will make them stay away faster than crap like that. I'm not saying we need to always be push-overs, but there has to be respect at all times unless one of the Bakers is out of line with us. I've seen them have incredible will power. Way more than they should at times, which is really commendable. There's nothing better than having an intelligent, respectful conversation without a rant, with the people in this company that can make a difference. Seriously. Think about the power that has alone. A simple thread with good ideas or conversation have often times lead to "you know, we just may visit that idea!" I've seen it.
Well said, Danny.

We're also getting patches out really quick. For them to literally patch the initial release means someone was really working hard. They must have found something the last minute to do that. Then we got b really quick and I could have sworn someone mentioned a possible C or something already? Don't hold me to that...but I thought I saw it mentioned.
Again, well said. I have seen people on here belittling the swift updates, saying that X3b should have been ready before release, or that 3c is only equivalent to X2 quickfix, and that it is a marketing ploy. I'm with you, Bro, it seems like they are going out of their way to produce a great DAW.

Anyway, this is a great time for us. We'll hit a few bumps in the road but I think there is no question the Bakers are really trying their best to make a difference for the better. No DAW is perfect...and trust me, I've tried several due to being in a business where I got tired of people hanging up on me for not having the DAW they wanted me to use. But my heart will always belong to Sonar. A friend of mine said it best...."Sonar just feels like home". I too am lovin' it! :)

Same here. I have used Cubase and PT a lot, as well as Studio One and Reaper, but only for work, when I have to. Sonar is the DAW I recommend to people, and the one I use by choice.
Cheers, Danny.

With ya all the way Jonathan! :) Yeah it's really a weird situation at times....sometimes people are so frustrated, they feel the need to vent. I've been there, we all have. And it always seems to happen when you either a) lose an important project or b) something horrible happens when a client is present. Then of course you just can't please some people ever no matter what you do.
I learned something this year that was so obvious, I'm a bit upset with myself for missing something so blatantly obvious. I'm one of those guys that has a 100% success rate with Sonar support as well as feeling blessed that they have treated me so well past and present. That said, there have been times where I was like "no, this has to be a Sonar issue because this stuff works in every other DAW!"
What I failed to realize was, the stuff I was doing in Sonar wasn't the same stuff I was doing in other DAWs. It so easy to overlook something we might do and blame the DAW, ya know? I can't tell you how many times I caught myself in "pilot error". So the key from here on out when it comes to stuff like this...."patience" at all times until everything is exhausted. :)
You know....using all those other DAWs really made me appreciate Sonar even more. Especially now that X3 is here. Don't get me wrong, I still wouldn't mind borrowing a few things from some of the others, but I sincerely feel our pros outweigh the cons in this release. I just hope that if there is a C patch, that it addresses the legit issues the rest of our community may be experiencing. Here's to keeping the faith....cheers bro! :)
