45 seconds is what I'm seeing here to load the C7 from an internal 2TB samsung 850 on the laptop. Running default settings also. That drive only has about 27% free space so that may be slowing things down a little?

I did get a chance to play with Keyscape in Omni2 and it is Very Cool blending in some Adagio strings with the C7. Same loading time for keyscape in Omni2. The thing that surprised me was that I had to Authorize the keyscape sounds again for use with Omni2.

Solved my problem by semi-accident. I spent the afternoon just trying all kinds of things to see if they made any difference. Wasn't having any luck until I went in to the device manager and enabled write caching on the SSD drive. Boom!! Everything running hot straight and phenomenal! Load times are not bad at all and all glitching and crashing are gone. Plus, as I figured, everything sounds gorgeous. I've finally got an "E" model Rhodes!!

One tip I can provide after playing the different instruments all afternoon is that setting up your particular controller for Keyscape makes a world of difference...as does tweaking the settings to your liking. I can't play the acoustic without having the "t" setting active in the noise section. Plus adjusting the number of notes allowed to the highest number your particular DAW will handle comfortably is key too.

Like they say at Micky D's...I'm lovin it!

Sounds very promising. If I get any money, I will probably buy this....

Heads up:

To create your own splits and layers, or modify anything beyond the limited effects and parameters burned into each patch, Keyscape requires Omnisphere 2.

This isn't mentioned on the product page at Spectrasonics' site - only in the FAQs.

The product page does mention Omnisphere integration, but doesn't say it's required for Keyscape editing. At least for me, this is a serious limitation and should be made clear on the product page.

I have Trilian, Omnisphere 1, and Stylus RMX, and none of them depends on another plugin for editing. So I never thought to check the FAQs.

I didn't discover this till after installing Keyscape, so it felt like a "gotcha". Not cool, Spectrasonics.

Since Omnisphere 1 is more than adequate for my needs, I have no need to upgrade to v2; so even the $199 VIP upgrade is steep just to be able to edit Keyscape.

If I had known this, I would have passed on Keyscape.

YMMV, of course.

Wow. That is definitely a new low. Thanks for the heads up.

I'm not sure how much of a "low" it is.  There are plenty of tweaking options inside of Keyscape as it is.  I look at the added ability to use it Omni2 as bonus.  Half full/half empty.  Pick em.

I am sure you can actually tweak those sounds a little effects wise more than enough and sometimes you might have no effects and just the raw sound, focusing more on the musical performance itself which is more of what should be happening anyway.

How many instances of Keyscape do you think could run at once.  If you cannot create a layer without Ominsphere 2, could you setup multiple instances of Keyscape and build a layer that way.  Not worrying about the load times for each layer, would there be enough power to run them all at once with low latency.

Our good friend Soundwise has PM'd me regarding my use of the word PAL.  While there is a seldom used definition meaning to speak to another man in an annoyed way...and I mean seldom.  Pal means friend.  Has done and will always do.  Especially to me.  If I'm annoyed with someone or just plain don't like em I will refer to them as "ol stick".  Hope that settles that Soundwise, ol pal:-)
