  • How to remove vibrato information from a midi file? (p.2)

Ok folks,

1) I have added and directed that track to a TTS VSTi and the same vibrato happened after a few bars.

2) I have discovered that the vibrato rate knob has a controller n.77 assigned to it as defaut for both VSTs: Orchestral and TTS.

3) After I  have removed that controller n.77 in both VST the vibrato rate alteration disappeared.

4) There must be something with the controller n.77! And if so, why Sonar doesn`t show us that controller in the event list?

5) Maybe there must be something with Sysex information ?! Which I can`t see!

Thank you very much for your attention

@ IFM,

Yes sure! I have removed everything except notes. But there must be something left that I could not see. How can we remove all controllers?
I go to event list click the notes button and everything that stays left is not notes right? so I deleted everything and left only the notes.

I am very sorry because my english is not good and maybe I am not making myself clear.

But yes, I have deleted everything in those tracks except notes.

Thank you.

If it's not shown it's not your fault.

I remember an old bug from years back - that midi CC#64, sustain pedal even on muted tracks/clips were included - if assigned to the same synth. I had really weird behavior on tracks playing that suddenly were shutoff notes and stuff - and I scratched my hair.

Not until I released other tracks from that synth by assigning to unused midi ports - it behaved like it should.

So don't look just on active clips - it might still be there, this bug.

If you're not seeing the controllers in the track you examined, then, as lfm suggested, they must be on another track sending on the same channel (or the events have the same embedded channel if no forced output channel is specified) as the track with the notes. Select all the tracks and open them together in the Event View, and you should find them.

Try the MIDI Event filter plug-in. Click the Controllers checkbox and drag the CC# column so that the top and bottom value are 0. To destructively apply the filter, select the track then Process > Apply Effects > MIDI Effects
