I got the offer to upgrade to Editor for $149 which was good through today 10/19 for me.  When I click on the link it takes be to the Celemony webshop, but the upgrade is no for $149, but for the full upgrade price.

Anyone else have this trouble with the link to the special upgrade not working?

That was quick.  I emailed Celemony and within minutes got a new link for the special upgrade price.  That is fast service and on a weekend!

Having same problem. Sorta had trouble figuring out who to get a hold of over on their website, emailed someone, haven't heard from them. Could you please tell me what link you clicked, or who you emailed to get quick response?

I had the same thing happen. I sent an email to the contact address on their store explaining I was an X3 customer and my link didn't work. They sent me a private message with a private link about a day later.

Very glad I took them up on the offer!

Hey guys,
I've been trying to contact support at Celemony too...but for me, none of their support links are working. I wound up sending an email to support@celemony.com in hopes to reach someone.
I'm fairly sure I'd like to upgrade to the Editor version but I don't even have 'essentials' running yet. Where do we get the key to run it in X3? I sure would like to try it out before upgrading. Thanks for any clues.

PS  I never received any email from Celemony

overdub - when you try to run Essentials in X3 the first time it prompts you to put in the serial number Cakewalk provided with your X3 purchase.

You put that in and Essentials activates and very shortly thereafter you'll likely get the offer email. As I recall when you're actually activating Essentials they provide the option to upgrade right at that activation time as well.

I think you do not get the "link" until you register Essentials, which it sounds like you have not yet registered.  Once you register it, Celemony will probably offer you a one time offer to upgrade to Editor for $149.  At least that is how it was with me.

The process/way it worked for me was as follows:  In your Cakewalk account page, there is also a serial number for your Melodyne Essential.  In Sonar X3 you will need to highlight some audio section, and then in X3 click "region FX" and then choose Melodyne, and then choose "create region FX".  This is how you access Melodyne from within Sonar X3 itself.  When you first try to access Melodyne in Sonar X3, you get a pop up window that takes you through the Melodyne registration process.  Once you register, you will (probably??) get the offer for the upgrade price to Editor and they will also send you an email with that offer.--at least that is where I first got the offer to upgrade.  The offer was a one time offer and was good for 14 days with a specific end date.

BTW, I sent my requests to "sales@celemony.com" or to "webshop@celemony.com" and got a quick reply.  Just make sure you first register your Essential to start the process.  Again, this is how it worked for me and probably is the same for you.  Hope this helps.

[[Edit:   Just posted and saw that Lawajava beat me to this.  Still hope this helps]]

Spot on guys.  Finding the s/n on my cake page was indeed the trick. Now that Essential is activated I'm supposed to receive an email with a link to the 'deal' and I have until Oct 30, I think, anyway there's time to try it out.  Thanks guys, we got 'er done.

If you will use a tool like Melodyne at all....I would upgrade to Editor if I were you.  It is well worth the price.  I paid almost $300 for it a few months ago and have never regretted it.  VERY useful tool indeed...!
