I'd like to specify what I think the behavior change is to make sure I understand.
In X2 You can scroll so that only one track is showing in the tracks part of track view and scroll so that only one bus is showing in the bus part of track view regardless of the height of the track or bus relative to the size of the pane it is displaying in.
In X3, the behavior in both the bus and track pane has been changed so that...
1. you can never scroll such that you use less than half of either the tracks or the bus pane.
This change goes along with the change to scrolling where tracks can now be partially displayed when scrolling, giving a more intuitive scrolling behavior. Previously, scrolling never showed a partial track, but when tracks had different sizes it could be confusing when scrolling because scroll pace would change due to the size of the tracks.
Further, and this seems like a bug, if you
- enlarge the bus pane to make the tracks pane smaller
- Scroll the tracks pane so only one track is showing - currently 1/2 the tracks pane since the bus pane is enlarged
- hide the bus pane - now the one track showing is taking up less than 1/2 the tracks pane
- Copy the screen-set to a new screen-set number with ctrl+2
- then shift screen-sets, screen set 2 will not continue to show the single track, nor will screenset 1.
- Locking the screen sets doesn't help.
I created this bug report...
