I believe the offer does end on October 16th.

Actually, if anyone is aware, the offer is valid for ten days from registration of X3's Melodyne Essentials.  So there is no "end of offer" date as of yet.  Check it out for yourselves.  A partner of mine just bought X3, registered Essentials soon after and his upgrade offer for Editor is good until the 20th.  Mine was until October 13th (registered on Oct. 3).

I believe I was quoted October 16 as the end date for the offer, and I registered Essentials on September 29.

I received an email from Celemony on 2nd October (having registered Melodyne pretty early - downloaded X3 on day of release), and it stated:-
 
"Upgrade to Melodyne editor now for only USD/€149 instead of USD/€299! That’s 50%
off the regular upgrade price. This offer lasts until 2013-10-16, and can only
be accessed through this link."
 
Was glad I did - with it's integration in X3 it is fantastic..

Are you saying that the offer ends on October 16 or that you were given more that 10 days for the offer?  BTW, what country are you located in?  I'm asking in the event that may make a difference in the time frame.  But if you are contending that I am wrong with the 10 day offer, should people buy before the 16, believe they have sixteen days to from date of Essential registration (with Celemony) or perhaps consider that maybe most others were also given ten days from the date of registration with Celemony?  If you can look back in this thread, not everyone was given until the 16th for the upgrade offer and neither was I nor my partner.

The offer I received was stated to end on October 16.  However, Melodyne could certainly make different offers to others.  I am in the USA.
 
If somebody wants to get to Melodyne Editor and has not yet acted, the safe move is to get it done now, before October 16.  Maybe there are other offers out there, but I haven't seen any evidence of them.

ARA integration is with X3 only.
 
I can't really say how things work with X1 as I really don't use it any more.
 
I didn't uninstall the "Essential" version when I upgraded to Editor, however I now see that I have both editor and essential are activated in my melodyne account.

Sorry, I see I made a mistake in my comment above :-)
 
What I should have said is "I DID uninstall Melodyne Essential before installing Editor".
 
What I didn't do, was deactivate the Melodyne Essential install on the Celemony website - so Celemony stilll shows my Melodyne Essential install as activated on the PC where I installed it.
 
So ... no, the region FX only has Melodyne Editor, or VVocal - I did uninstall Essential :-)

Well, it seems to give you 10 days from when you register your Melodyne on the X3a install.  I registered it all today and got an email that gives me until 10/23 to upgrade.
