An interesting song Ben.
At times, I am struggling with where some things are, panning wise. For instance, around a minute in, you've got vocals dead centre with distorted guitar hard right and cymbal hard left. And that goes on for twenty seconds or so.
But this is art dood, so who am I to criticise?
cheers

Hi Andy...here is the thing about the cyms...i used the Velocity Drum Synth from Project 5...which no longer work's because it is 32 bit DXI...so I had to use the frozen track...luckily for me I froze the track all those years ago...the Velocity allowed you to alter the pitch envelope so you got very cool cym sounds but on the other side of the coin...it could go a little haywire.
The riff guitar has always sounded like it was panned hard right when everything kicks in...it's strange as both guitar's are a copy of each other and one guitar is panned hard left and the other hard right...I've checked it numerous times...it always sounds like that...for me as a mixer...I go meh and leave it...this is because as a painter...sometimes the red is always suppose to be purple!! This is what audio boffin's don't get or want (although I have the qualifications and the skills to be called a boffin too these days) if a mistake works...which in this case it does because the guitar sounds really meaty because of the mistake...just let it go through to the keeper.
Here is the rub...although it has the song has the pretext of being a "band" recording...it's all just me. Don't forget music from your era ;) use to swirl all over the place...and the track is a hurdy gurdy ride of the track...it's suppose to represent the ride of a mind that can't find peace...ART lol!!
Don't forget I triumphed the mix and the master-I don't care if the listeners brain can't handle the ride ;)
