I collect their stuff and been looking forward to seeing this addition. Especially since it's produced by Ron Howard.
Received notice it shipped today.
I didn't check to see if anybody had posted about this...sorry if it's old hat.

I saw it on Hulu when it was first aired.

IIRC it did not offer much we didn't already know.

Maybe I need to watch it again to be sure.

I hope there is new stuff...
It said "Featuring rare and exclusive footage, the film is produced with the full cooperation of Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono Lennon and Olivia Harrison."

Anyway I'll get to experience the Ron Howard version.

I attended a premiere showing at a local cinema. Most of the audience came dressed in 60s clothes but not me because I went there straight from work.

The big deal about this movie is the fact that the sound quality of the concert performances has been restored from awful to almost acceptable. It sounds better now for us than it did back then for the people who attended the concerts. We can now listen and appreciate what a live Beatles performance was like. Considering that the guys could barely hear what they were playing through crappy sound systems and constant screaming, they played and sung really well.

Maybe there was a bit too much artistic licence applied during the restoration process though, presumably by Giles Martin. There were a few instances (e.g. in Dizzy Miss Lizzy) were I could hear an extra guitar of George's, i.e. he was playing lead guitar but I could still hear the riff that he had been playing during the verses. It wasn't John, he was strumming.

I haven't seen it yet. How much of it is full song performances vs. short live excerpts interrupted by talk?

LOL Bapu!  What's funny is somebody marked that helpful.

Hi,

None of this prairie patty is worth it.

I would rather these monsters restored "Let It Be", than have to watch the same thing over and over again. At least there are honest people and thoughts and feelings in that film, and I'm tired of the rehashing of the great big stars!

Geeze Mosh.
Sometimes things get by us...it's just a heads-up for folks.

It arrived. My wife and I enjoyed it very much.
And Mosh...if you're ever stuck spending the night in the fields you can burn prairie patties and it will help keep mosquitoes off you. So maybe things aren't as bad as they seem to you.
