anyone know how I can keep all my user midi beats and presets on a drive other than C
 
and have AD point to them?

I just read a thread about migrating the entire AD installation to another drive, including all included midi beats.  I did it and it was super easy.  Just use the online installer app, click on Advanced, and it gives you the option to migrate your installation to any destination of your choice.  Then hit OK, and it does it for ya, moving all the sounds and the midi.
 
I can't find the thread now, but that was the gist of it. At that point AD is looking in the new destination for midi beats, so anything else you install can go there.  If you get new midi in there, just hit "update midi library" in the AD interface and it will be included.

Well I wish it were so for me, I had originally installed to the C drive,
Then after I discovered the advanced tab I changed to an F drive, and yes the installation has moved the sound files there, but the user folder with midi beats a presets are still on my c drive...

Hi, There is no supported way to do this; you can move the sound data to an external disk, but the installation and user data is, at least for now, local. Just because an application is hardwired to look in a specific location for data does not mean that the data has to physically exist at that location. Windows provides a DOS utility mklink
to create directory junctions and symlinks that can assist in relocating data.
