  • Forum Feature Request - Please could we have a larger maximum size for inserted images?

When I first joined the forums, the old forum software allowed us to insert really large images into our posts. So large, in fact, that they would often appear with navigation/scroll handles so you could see all the image.

This was incredibly useful when it came to posting and viewing screenshots and the like.

I'm not sure exactly what the current maximum size is (I'm guessing it's around 700 x 700 pixels?) but if you post a screenshot of SONAR, it's nigh on impossible to see any detail.

Would it please be possible to up this maximum image size to more practical dimensions? Say about double or triple the current limit.

Then, when I post an pic of the new Les Paul Standard I'm expecting to receive free with X3, it will look really good

Seriously though, does anyone else agree with this? I wouldn't have thought it would be too hard to implement.

This would be very helpful with Sonar screen shots. Another forum I belong to allows this and it has been very useful for teaching folks things off the screen shot.

+1000, there's been many times someone has posted a screenshot and I've had Buckley's (oh God I must have been watching Prisoner Cell Block H again) of making out any detail in it. Ideally it should display in a pop-out at full size when you click on it.

The old version of the forum software that sucked did that.

Yes!  The images should be larger and held up for us by some nice birds after they've delivered us a couple of jars to enjoy!

(Or, at least, they should be able to expand to full size when clicked on like they used to be able to do.  )
