Have you tried deleting your Picture Cache?

Make sure your playback timing master is set in preferences.

Do you have tempo changes in your project? SONAR doesn't render the WAVs properly when there are tempo changes. This isn't new (I had it in X2 but I don't know how far back it goes) and it seems to be a known problem.

Are you hearing any audio with the clips with flat lines? If not, your not selecting the correct input for your sonar track that correlates to the input of your sound card that has the instruemtn plugged into.

Noel--- double checked (and changed to another) the playback timing master in preferences. Didn't help.

Yup, im hearing all the audio just fine. No problems hearing it, just seeing it.

Just to be sure...   your preference for the pic cache folder is pointing to a valid location?

@stevec : yes, I even created a new folder for it, applied and restarted.

Bizarre...

Perhaps a reinstall is in order.
