I just got a PM from Noel that indeed there was an error in the code that was checking for the 255 synth limit and he's managed to fix it. So I do assume that in the next update, the VST plugin limits will be gone for X3 as advertised. Thanks for following up on it Noel.

I had 1307 on startup....and I KNOW I don't have HALF the plugins that Bapu has!!!

Now this isn't a challenge; but I reckon if I reinstall all the plugins I'm done with I could give you a run for your money. BTW I don't have any Waves plugins and only about 4 UAD plugins that came with my UAD 2 Quad Core card. Got it cheap but can't afford anymore.

What does an average plug-in amount to, on average?  I'd suggest in the neighborhood of at least $30 each, given that some are either included or are free and some are pricey.

Quick calculation: 1272 x $30

Wow Bapu.

You are obviously not a plug-in slut!
Mainlining freebies, haunting group buys, assaulting the KVRaudio marketplace...
Cheap G.A.S addiction.

I can't believe some of the numbers I'm reading here! I think I was at 800-900 at the most. Now I'm constantly throwing stuff out. Think I'm down to less than half if what I had (not counting Automap)! Still, there's lots in there that won't see the light of day ever againg - I'm sure.

VST3, VST2 - I dunno what I'm using from now on. I managed to process audio before VST3 and I still can. Doesn't matter to me what they are. What will be interesting, however, is to test Vocalign and the Bass/Vocal Riders with VST3 - so it's not completely lost on me.

But thousands of plugins??! Man, I'd get lost soooooooo easily!

EDIT TO ADD: - Based on what I've seen from Cubase and Nuendo, It'll be interesting to see what VSTi-makers will do with the new posibillities in VST3 Synths.

Again I say WOOT WOOT.

Thanks CW.

1272 vst's ! ( Eeeeek must be 1230 plugins to mutch.. )
Seriously ! What's the point having that mutch ?

EDIT :
I myself is quite happy with 5 EQ's and 3 types of compressors, and one great limiter.
that goes for Dynamic plug's other than that a few reverbs and Delay's.

If i could not manage to mix with that, i could just quit and do something else..

Then of course theres VSTi's.

Do you seriously know every plugin's character and can use it at fully ?
